Painting

Graduated as a Painter/Printmaker in the UK followed by a residency in the USA for 1 year. Whilst in America became seriously interested in the free flowing movement with the material. As a result of this experience I lectured in Universities in the UK and Australia finally becoming a full time international exhibiting ceramicist in the early 1980s.

I represented Australia Internationally in Japan, USA, New Zealand and many other countries including the World Trade Fair in Seville, Spain in 1992. In the early 2000s we returned briefly to Tasmania for a year followed by a spell living in the Lake District where I dedicated myself to writing 5 books, 2 of which involved a historic and contemporary view of Brittany France. Five years ago we moved to Suffolk and East Anglia generally has inspired a vigorous return to my roots as a Painter/Printmaker.

Having spent most of my life in regions sporting mountains and hills with valleys of fast flowing rivers......however I am definitely smitten by the big skies and slow moving waters of East Anglia.

Bardwell, Suffolk.
